25/05/2010 - Wales No. 1 B&B
As of 25th May Ffynnon has been rated the top B&B in Wales by Tripadvisor. Needless to say, we're thrilled and would like to extend a huge thank you to all our guests who posted such wonderful reviews.
19/04/2010 - Funky new breakfast room
Since opening Emily, our fifth room, in August last year, we've been trying to find the best way of serving breakfast to 10 people around a table large enough for 8. Guests may not have noticed there was an issue, as we always try to maintain an air of calm, but behind the scenes was often fraught as timings were juggled to ensure everything ran smoothly and guests were able to be seated when they wanted. Most of the time, it worked and we were able to turn a table around, but at others a guest may have had to wait 5 or 10 minutes. We felt this was compromising our high standards of service so something had to be done!
It's been a tough decision as the communal table was popular, but we’ve finally plumped for funky, individual tables and chairs from Italian designer Effezeta. This has been our first month with the new layout and so far it’s working well. The room is still cosy so people can talk and swap ideas about things to do but it's so much more comfortable and stylish.
14/08/2009 - Emily completed
Emily is now finished and the first guests arrive today. We think it's worked out well - check out the

03/08/2009 - Emily update
The bathroom is now complete for Emily, our fifth room, and the bedroom is being fitted out and painted. The last pieces of furniture arrive this week and the finishing touches will be in place by 10th August.
05/07/2009 - New room to be created at Ffynnon
Work is about to start on our fifth room. Emily (named after Steve's maternal grandmother) will be the largest of the rooms at Ffynnon. We hope you'll like it.
12/06/2009 - Visit Wales Gold Award Nomination
We have been shortlisted for the prestigious Visit Wales Gold Award 2010. This award is given each year to the top hotels and guesthouses in Wales.
